What Were the Long Term Causes of World War 1?

Answer

There are four underlying long term causes of the First World War which were; first, Nationalism which is a belief that your country is better than others. The second thing was imperialism, which is the desire to conquer colonies, especially in Africa. The third is Militarism, which was an attempt to build up a strong army and navy and lastly the Alliances, which was formed by Germany, Austria, Hungary and Italy.
